SUBJUNCTIVE "IF"

Definition :

Subjunctive digunakan untuk menunjukan keadaan yang berlawanan dengan kenyataan sebenarnya.

Subjunctive As If divided by 2, it has :

Ø  Simple Present

Ø   Simple Past Tense

Formula :

1. 1.      Simple Present Tense

S + V1 + As if + S + V2

Example : She acts as if She knew everything.

1. 2.      Simple Past tense

S + V2 + As If + S + had +V3

Example : He ran very fast as if he had had wings

Exercise :

1. 1.      She stares at me as if (know)
2. 2.      Jenny denied, as if (no stolen) the car.

Answer :

1. 1.      She stares at me as if she knew me
2. 2.      Jenny denied, as if  had no stolen the car.
